Amarynn’s eyes widened. The only way to stop the heart of a Traveler was by beheading, but it was in no way a true death. Regealth had been very clear about the rules of their immortality. To lose your head meant to lose your physical life. But any Traveler who found themselves in that unfortunate predicament would be lost for eternity. They would regain their memories of life before but their souls would never be able to rest, wandering in and out of two worlds but never touching either of them.
“You will wait for my decision.”
